Hello Classmates,

We had a great time at our Christmas Party at Caesar's.  Kathryn, Barry and I made an announcement on 103.3 FM that Greenville High Class of 1966’ was having a party. Beach Bob (Bob Ross) and Cathy Cole wished us a “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year”.  If anyone heard a Southern Accent approximately 5:00 pm, it was not me!!

The attendees were:  Barry Jones, Beau and Sharon Sanders, Becky (Langley) and Gerry Dietz, Betty (Hammond) and Bob Jenkins, Chris Baird, Curtis and Palmer Brown, Gwen Weisner Crosland, Harriett League Carmichael, Jean Eison (WHS)?, Barbara Moore Hunt, Jim Calmes, Kathryn Gaffney, Linda Williams Slaton, Liz Francis (WHS)?, Marion (Winkle) and Lou Stengl, Stan and Jean Crout, Toni Loumas Reeves and brother, Tommy, Susan (Moore) and Dan Sloan. We love our WHS class too!

Our surprise guests were Libby Chamblin from Georgia and Herb and Beth Drake.

Prayers are needed:

Please keep Kathryn Gaffney in your prayers as her father passed away this morning.  The obit will be in the paper tomorrow morning. There will be a service on Wednesday, December 17 at 3:00 pm at Buncombe Street United Methodist Church and visitation will be held there after the service.  There will be an entombment after this visitation (I believe 4:00 pm) at the Memorial Mausoleum at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Kathryn will be residing at her dad's home, 206 McDaniel Greene beginning Tuesday, December 16.  The phone number there is 233-1998, and Kathryn's home 307-9072.

Joe Allen is recovering from his stroke.  Please keep Tim, Joe and his family in your prayers.  Joe Allen, 816 Crescent Ave, Greenville, SC  29601.

Barry and Barbara’s niece, Cameron, will be coming home December 18.  Fred and Linda said, “We will probably use home health care heavily at first and move towards Roger C Peace as outpatient as soon as possible. Home healthcare means nurses coming to the house as well as therapist. Shepherd Center Caseworker is integrally involved in setting up the logistics to insure all equipment that is needed is ordered. Supplies should already be delivered by the time we get home”.

Judy Foster Chappelear has had an emergency “gall bladder surgery”.  She had three large stones.  This is what has been causing her pain since July. Her surgery was the night of our party.  I know Judy wanted to be there but she got the results of a cat scan and so she had to have a party in the emergency room.

102 Morgan Ct, Greer, SC  29650.  She loves cards.  She is doing great with her “special drips” every three weeks.
