We had a great reunion meeting. I would to thank Craig and Gretchen for their most gracious hospitality and delicious cookies and fruit. Our attendees were Craig and Gretchen Groundsell, Barry Jones, Troy Webb, Powell Payne, Linda Williams Slaton, Barbara Moore Hunt, Harriett League, Betty Hammond Jenkins, and Gwen Weisner.
We discussed the menu for the Friday night drop in at Jim Calmes. The menu would include: finger sandwiches, smoked salmon, cheese biscuits, stuffed mushrooms, fruit and vegetable tray, along with pickles, chicken tenders and bite size cheesecake. Sandwiches included egg salad, pimento cheese, chicken salad, ham and turkey. If I have missed something please let me know.
We discussed a possible fundraiser next year at Betty’s with Gretchen’s special gumbo!
We discussed a possible theme of “Route 66” for our reunion.
Please continue calling classmates from your address list. We will need this completed the week before we meet at Betty’s. We hope to have postcards printed with our Reunion Invitation and then we can hand address these at Betty’s. We will also send the same invitation by way of email. We felt we needed to get the word out as soon as possible.
So bring your favorite pen!
